Geminisoft Pimmy lets you take control of your email accounts wherever you are. It is an extraordinarily complete email manager if you take into account how small it is.

It lets you administer an unlimited number of simultaneous accounts, apply personalized signatures to each account, delete messages directly from the server (without needing to download them to the PC), has news groups, you can attach files, write emails offline to send them all together later when you reconnect, etc.

Of course, Geminisoft Pimmy tells you via icons when you receive a new email, and classifies the messages into categories according to when they arrive in your in-tray.
